In 2009, Datsik had ten number one releases on Beatport. He has remixed and collaborated with artists including The Crystal Method, Noisia, Wu-Tang Clan, and Diplo, and has performed with Steve Aoki, Rusko, Bassnectar, Skream, DJ Craze, Benny Benassi and Nero, among others. He has described his sound as “dark and robotic”, while trying to remain “funky and gangster” and “dirty”. With a string of #1 Beatport releases, sell-out tours and a rapidly growing fan base, the Canadian producer/DJ and Firepower label boss has entered this year on an exceptionally high note, and with the release of his most recent LP Let It Burn¸ he’s already making his claim to an even bigger 2013. He’s released a series of successful singles and EPs including works for Excision’s Rottun Recordings and collaborated with the legendary Korn on their The Path of Totality album and toured the U.S. with the group. He has also brought some big names under his Firepower label as he contuines to bring some of the heaviest bass I have heard over time.
